Five years in the making! I’m excited to be sharing American Giant‘s No-BS Pant, an update to their Ponte pant. It looks like a pant but feels like leggings (it’s true!). The fabric is custom-developed: a double knit ponte with 4-way stretch (never sheer and never shiny!). It doesn’t pill or fade in the wash either. Also in love with their merino wool v-neck sweater – the side panel rib detail looks casual but luxe. Going from Zoom meetings to errands to school pick-up – and feeling comfortable while doing it!

I think I was updating an older story about hair accessories when I found Lele Sadoughi at Nordstrom — if you’re on the hunt for upmarket hair accessories (the pictured headband is $65, for example) then you should definitely check the brand out. There’s a collaboration with Lily Pulitzer, and I’d put the brand up there with hair accessory great brands Ficcare and France Luxe. (This knotted sweater headband is also stunning.)

For my $.02, I wouldn’t wear headbands like this for a Big Day like an interview or court appearance — but I think they can look nice on Zoom calls as well as elevating a casual outfit at work in a preppy, pretty kind of way.

Here’s a fun question for today: How do you think the business etiquette has changed with regards to meeting new coworkers whom you’ve only known over Zoom or Slack — or at this point, meeting someone in person whom you’ve only worked with virtually for a year or two?

For my $.02, I really think you should go out of your way to say hi to a coworker whom you’ve only known virtually — whether you’re the boss or subordinate — just to swing by their office to chitchat in person. (If you’re the boss, though, take them out to lunch!)

Similarly, if you’re involved with HR and people are coming back to the office, are you planning more frequent in-person social events to let people get to chat more, whether it’s a cookie/donut offering at 3:00 p.m. or cocktails at a nearby patio? I’d love to hear what everyone’s offices and teams are doing to ease the social transition back to work.

I’m curious for those of you with staggered work schedules (where, say, you have two days remote and three days in the office) — are you going out of your way to align those days with coworkers whom you haven’t met yet in person? Have there been any funny surprises (like, I don’t know, realizing that your boss is like eight months pregnant without her having mentioned it)?

Hello, sunshine! This tweed blazer from Talbots would brighten up even the dreariest of days. I love this shade of yellow because it can work with a wide variety of colors.

This fall, I’d wear it with an olive sheath that’s currently hanging in my closet, being criminally underutilized. Come spring, I’d wear it with light gray or white.
