During the latest Letter from the Producer livestream, the Final Fantasy XIV development team discussed the changes that would be coming to all of the jobs for the Endwalker expansion coming this year. They also released a trailer that showed off these changes, which also includes the two newest jobs being added, Reaper and Sage.

The Reaper will be a melee DPS in the new expansion, and their weapon is a scythe. They have the ability to summon an avatar from the Void to aid them in battle, and even become the host for the avatar itself. They have a unique gauge called the Soul Gauge, which once they have it charged up, allows them to unleash powerful demon attacks. The avatar has its own gauge as well. We can also see in the demonstration that Reapers will be able to open up a portal so that they can close distances, and this portal will stay open temporarily. Producer Naoki Yoshida stated that the gameplay for this job was inspired by anime action scenes, and while he described the class as difficult to learn, he said that it is the “good kind” of difficult.

Sages are going to be a Healer class, and will be the first one added to Final Fantasy XIV since the Heavensward expansion. They utilize a weapon called nouliths, and are able to attack enemies and heal allies simultaneously. They have a unique resource bar that you can see in the trailer to enhance their abilities, and have access to abilities like Adder’s Gall, which creates instant barriers, and Icarus, which is a dash ability used to close gaps. The job will focus on shields to keep their party alive, rather than direct healing.

The trailer also gives us a peek at every other job in the game. During the 18 minute video, we can get an idea on how each one will play with their new and updated abilities. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker will be launching on November 23, 2021, and will be the fourth expansion in the popular MMO, and will be the conclusion of the tales of Hydaelyn and Zodiark. The story appears to be taking inspiration from Final Fantasy IV this time around, with the moon becoming an accessable location, and the Dragoon Estinien being teased as having a more prominent role in the story.

After winning the hearts of the public and critics at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, The Worst Person in the World has received a new trailer. Directed and co-written by Joachim Trier, The Worst Person in the World is the third chapter of the Norwegian filmmaker’s “Oslo Trilogy,” after Reprise and Oslo, 31 August.

The new trailer doesn’t reveal much about the film, only letting us know that star Renate Reinsve will fall in love with another man and deal with the emotional roller coaster of ending a relationship while she enjoys a new passion. The trailer, however, underlines the incredible reception The Worst Person in the World had after premiering at the Cannes Film Festival. Besides being quickly labeled one of the best of the year, The Worst Person in the World also allowed Reinsve to take home a Palme D’Or for Best Actress.

Directed by Trier from a script he wrote with Eskil Vogt, The Worst Person in the World also stars Anders Danielsen Lie, Maria Grazia Di Meo, Hans Olav Brenner, Helene Bjørnebye, Vidar Sandem, and Herbert Nordrum. The film is produced by Andrea Berentsen Ottmar and Thomas Robsahm.

The Worst Person in The World is a modern dramedy about the quest for love and meaning in contemporary Oslo. It chronicles four years in the life of Julie (Reinsve), a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path, leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is.

Paramount+ has released the first trailer for their upcoming “genre-bending” drama-comedy series Guilty Party, coming to the streaming service in October. The series stars Kate Beckinsale as Beth Burgess, a once highly regarded journalist whose life has spun out of control. This is depicted in the brand new trailer as it opens with her receiving an award for her journalism.

One year later, she has become discredited, though the reason why is still unknown, and has been building a reputation that has become fairly damaging to her, something her editor Amber is not afraid to remind her of. The trailer shows her getting into fights, breaking and entering, and getting arrested along with wrestling with a number of personal issues.

A glimmer of hope shines from an unlikely place when she learns the story of Jules Latimer‘s Toni Plimpton, a young mother who was arrested three years ago for the murder of her husband, a crime she still says she didn’t commit, Burgess sees this as an opportunity to revive her career, though is that the right motivation if she truly wants to help Plimpton? Along the way, she will find herself in a world of corruption, gun-smuggling, injustice, and murder — aka the perfect headline story.

The director of Guilty Party is Trent O’Donnell, who will also act as a producer alongside Jimmy Miller, Sam Hansen, Beckinsale, Joe Farrell, Jim Ziegler, Mike Farah, and the show’s writer Rebecca Addelman. Addelman said at a recent panel that they “do leave the season in a place that is begging for a Season 2” and that she “keeps getting pitched non-stop by the boy actors about the next eight seasons.” The show also stars Geoff Stults, Laurie Davidson, Andre Hyland, Tiya Sircar, and Alanna Ubach.

Guilty Party premieres with the first two episodes of its 10-episode first season on Paramount+ on October 14. Watch the new trailer for Guilty Party and read the synopsis of the series down below.

Guilty Party follows Beth Burgess (Beckinsale), a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother, Toni Plimpton (Latimer), who has been sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she did not commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.

Marvel released a trailer for their latest upcoming animated show Hit-Monkey and it’s hard to describe it as anything other than wild.

It stars a Japanese snow Macaque with a penchant for murder teaming up with an assassin’s ghost to take revenge on the people that slaughtered his family, all while political drama unfolds in the background.

The series stars Ted Lasso himself, Jason Sudeikis, as Bryce, the ghost hitman and mentor to Monkey (Fred Tatasciore). Per an article from Marvel, the two become inexplicably linked after Bryce is murdered in the Alps and Monkey’s tribe suffers the same fate and thus their tale of revenge begins. Monkey is an incredible killer, albeit one with a bit of a rage problem, so it’s up to the oft sarcastic and cynical Bryce to help him channel his abilities for good. And to compliment him on his sweet suit.

Aside from Tatasciore and Sudeikis, the series also features Star Trek‘s George Takei as a good-natured politician named Shinji and his niece Akiko, played by Olivia Munn, who are both thrown into the political spotlight following an unforeseen tragedy. In order to continue in the footsteps of his mentor and dear friend, Shinji begins his campaign to become Prime Minister of Japan.

Ally Maki and Nobi Nakanishi as police officers investigating the case of Hit-Monkey to determine if he’s a force for good or evil. Ito (Nakanishi) is looking to repair his tarnished reputation within the force while Haruka (Maki) is trying to realize her potential as an officer.

The show is the brainchild of writing duo Josh Gordon and Will Speck (Blades of Glory, Office Christmas Party) who also act as executive producers. Joe Quesada will also take on the role of executive producer. Hit-Monkey is a more modern superhero created by Daniel Way along with artist Dalibor Talajić in 2010.

Marvel’s Hit-Monkey is certainly not the superhero adaptation we expected, but it looks like an absolutely bonkers ride filled with murder, intrigue, and a whole lot of monkey business. Sony has released another quick teaser for the highly-anticipated sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The comic book film, which stars Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson, stands as the next major blockbuster poised for release. Audiences are ready for the carnage, and if this new spot is any indication, this (brief) sequel should have a lot of it.

The new promo reinforces the few plot points that have already been gleaned from the major trailers, with Cletus Kasady/Carnage (Harrelson) making life extremely difficult for Eddie Brock/Venom (Hardy) once he obtains his iconic red symbiote. Naomie Harris‘ Frances Barrison/Shriek does get several shots in this 30 seconds, though her own transformation has yet to be seen. There’s a quick shot of her in a car with the image running and blending together, possibly during her eventual change. A shot of a mansion on fire can also be seen, with what could be Kasady and Barrison walking away from the destruction (or carnage, if you please).

Secrets also appear to be a major highlight of this spot, with both Kasady and Stephen Graham‘s Detective Mulligan making mention of this. A quick blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot of a spider being squished also comes in halfway through the promo, a long-shot of a nod to audiences’ clamoring for Hardy’s Venom and Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man to eventually meet. The promo also makes it known that tickets are now available for the sequel, which will open the floodgates for a very theatrically-crowded October.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has passed off the director’s chair to Andy Serkis, an exciting prospect given the actor/director’s knack for motion capture. Kelly Marcel, one of the screenwriters from the original, has come back to pen the screenplay, with Hardy himself also having a story credit. Filming officially began back in November of 2019, with an original intended release date of October 2, 2020. Michelle Williams and Reid Scott are set to reprise their roles as Anne Weying (Brock’s ex-fiancée) and Dr. Dan Lewis, respectively.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will release in theaters on October 1, and tickets are now available. Check out the latest promo below:
