On September 29, the K-pop idol took to social media to unveil the first teaser image for her as-yet-untitled forthcoming single. The picture features a headshot of the singer donning a headpiece similar to protective medieval chainmail, embellished with jewels.

“New single coming soon,” Luna wrote in the caption of the posts. Further details of the upcoming release have not been disclosed but are expected in the coming weeks.

The reveal of the teaser comes two weeks after Luna first announced that she was preparing to make her first solo comeback in two years. Her last release was her 2019 digital single ‘Even So’, which also featured the B-side tracks ‘Do You Love Me’ and ‘Bye Bye’.

The f(x) vocalist broke the news with an Instagram post where she hinted that she would soon be making a comeback. “Thank you very much to MeU (the name of f(x)’s fandom) and everyone who waited for me and supported me!! [I feel] excited to be making a comeback after a long time. See you soon,” she wrote.

The singer’s upcoming return to music will be her first since departing from her previous agency SM Entertainment in 2019. Luna went on to establish her own label, Grida Entertainment, earlier this year.

Luna originally made her solo debut in 2016 with the mini-album ‘Free Somebody’. Since then she has released several digital singles such as ‘Night Reminiscin’’, which featured Yang Da-il, and her 2020 song ‘It Hurts And Hurts’. Additionally, she has established a career as a musical actress, starring in productions such as Mamma Mia! and The Days.

Limp Bizkit officially release new single ‘Dad Vibes’

Limp Bizkit have officially released their previously-teased single ‘Dad Vibes’ listen to it below.

It comes after the band played a recording of the new singleas an outro to their set at July’s Lollapalooza festival.

At the festival, the band performed a set which saw frontman Fred Durst debuting a now-infamous ‘retro dad’ look.

‘Dad Vibes’ has now arrived alongside an official lyric video on YouTube, which centres around Durst and his new look.

Watch the video below:

The arrival of the new song comes after the band updated fans on their next album, announcing that new songs will arrive “in rapid succession, very soon”.

The band’s long-gestating follow-up to 2011’s ‘Gold Cobra’ has been known under the title of ‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants’, but it’s unclear if that is the new music Limp Bizkit are referring to in this update.

The band announced the title of the fabled album way back in 2012, and in the following years released the singles ‘Ready to Go’ and ‘Endless Slaughter’, which are all supposedly taken from the record.

In June, guitarist Wes Borland offered an update on the album, attributing many of the delays to Durst’s dissatisfaction with his vocals. “We’ve probably, in the last 10 years, been in the studio to try and complete the record, I wanna say, seven times, to different studios,” he said on Drinks With Johnny, the podcast of Avenged Sevenfold‘s Johnny Christ.

Last month, Limp Bizkit cancelled the remainder of their US tour over safety concerns. In a statement, the group said: “Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans, the Limp Bizkit show this Monday and the remaining August tour is being cancelled.

The former 2NE1 singer-rapper discussed her departure from YG Entertainment after 17 years during an interview with Dazed Korea, where she also spoke about beginning a new chapter of her career with Abyss Company, which she signed with earlier this month.

“I was nervous about what it would be like making a new start, but the artists, staff, and CEO of my new agency have been so welcoming and unsparing in their support,” she revealed, as translated by Soompi.

She also noted that her fans had sent flowers to the Abyss Company office to celebrate her new management deal. “I’m spending my days happily. Already, I no longer find this new place unfamiliar,” she added.

Later, Park explained her eight-month absence from YouTube and why she finally was ale to return to it. “I needed time to reorganise [after leaving YG], and because my editor had to quit last year due to personal circumstances, I temporarily stopped,” she said. “I’m filming [for the channel] again. I met with the Abyss YouTube team, and their passion is amazing.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sandara Park also revealed plans to release new music in the near future. “I’ve made up my mind to focus on working on a new album. I want to return with a song that will allow me to not only showcase new music, but also a new performance and fashion,” she said of her upcoming project.

In May, shortly after leaving YG, Park shared a letter on social media regarding her departure. “Goodbyes are always the hardest to do but I take a deep breath and take a big step closer to my dream and the people who have stood by me, waiting for me to take that step,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Abyss Company is also home to several other K-pop acts such as GOT7‘s BamBam and former Wonder Girls singer Sunmi.

The original song appeared on Uchis’ recent album ‘Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞’, which came out last November, and the new version features a fresh verse from SZA, who sings in Spanish for the very first time.

“This is Latin R&B, this is SZA singing in Spanish for the very first time, this is spooky season, this IS the moment,” Uchis said in a statement.

Watch the ‘Fue Mejor’ video below:

Reviewing Kali Uchis’ ‘Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞’ upon its release last year, NME wrote: “Whether you’ve spent the last few months being pestered by a cartoon owl to keep up with memorising basic Spanish or you’re fully fluent, Uchis’ second album – and her first full Spanish release – is more proof, if you needed it, that language barriers don’t need to restrict our enjoyment of music.”

SZA, meanwhile, has been sharing a handful of new songs across 2021. Last month, she surprise-released three new songs on an anonymous Soundcloud page. She confirmed the tracks – ‘Nightbird’, ‘I Hate You’ and ‘Joni’ – were her work by tweeting a link to the page and saying she was “dumping random thoughts”.

The singer also recently shared her take on ‘The Anonymous Ones’ for the soundtrack of the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen.

Prior to the release of the new material, SZA joked that she was “probably about to scrap all of [the next record] and start from scratch”. “I think they’ll be surprised to know that it’s not what they thought, and it’s not coming when they thought,” she added. “I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised.”

The rapper performed his rendition of Parton’s 1973 song, lifted from her album of the same name, during a session as part of BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge earlier this month.

“I chose this because I feel like this song is kind of beautifully sad,” Lil Nas said when performing the song. “I like the little country twang, so I was like ‘let me try this out’.”

Parton has since shared Lil Nas X’s cover on Twitter, and posted on Instagram a photo they took together at the 2019 Country Music Association Awards. “I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X had done my song #Jolene. I had to find it and listen to it immediately… and it’s really good,” she wrote.

“Of course, I love him anyway. I was surprised and I’m honored and flattered. I hope he does good for both of us.I hope he does good for both of us. Thank you @LilNasX.”
