On Thursday, September 23, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 8000 block of Sanibel Drive. Video surveillance shows he stated, “Broward Sheriff’s Office. Is anyone home?” after he entered the home through the broken glass door.

TAMARAC, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for the burglar who claimed to be a law enforcement officer as he smashed his way into a Tamarac home. Detectives would also like to speak with a person of interest who was in the area at the time.

On Thursday, September 23, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 8000 block of Sanibel Drive. Video surveillance shows just before 8:30 p.m., a subject shattered a sliding glass door in the rear of the home. He stated, “Broward Sheriff’s Office. Is anyone home?” after he entered the home through the broken glass door. The burglar then searched the home and left with more than $1,000 worth of items. Around the same time, an individual carrying a clipboard and wearing a retractable lanyard knocked on the victim’s front door. The victim was not home at the time of the burglary.

While detectives believe this was an isolated incident, they encourage people to ask for the law enforcement officer’s identification, look for the agency’s name on the uniform or call the Broward Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number, 954-764-4357, to verify a deputy’s identity.

Anyone who can identify the subject or has any information is asked to contact BSO Detective Wilmer Morales Tubens at 954-247-6014. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org

Tony Robbins Goes Off On Anti-COVID-19 Vaccination Rant at Orlando Speaking Engagement; Pokes Fun With Incorrect Statistics

ORLANDO, FL – Author, coach, speaker, and philanthropist Tony Robbins went off on an anti-COVID-19 vaccination rant at a business speaking engagement in Orlando, Florida recently, belting out several jokes that drew laughter and cheers from the audience, but also making some factual errors in some of his observations and claims as well.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Tony Robbins is seen being filmed by an audience member at an event called Funnel Hacking Live while standing on a stage with his image projected onto a large screen; Robbins’ presence at the event was reportedly to assist salespeople to increase their output by listening to his motivational stories.

At one point during the seminar, Robbins turned his attention to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, where he first poked fun at current evening curfews in-place in Australia to prevent large gatherings in entertainment venues – joking that “we all know that the virus sneaks out at night” –  and then debated whether or not the current crop of vaccines are effective against the virus.

“We’re all supposed to be afraid because the unvaccinated people are destroying the vaccinated people. Well, that’s kind of confusing to me,” he said. “If the vaccine works, you’re protected, aren’t you? How could unvaccinated people be a threat to you? Besides that, 100 million Americans are unvaccinated, and they’re not all crazy people. You know the number one group that is vaccine-resistant? PhDs!”

However, according to studies, COVID-19 is more likely to spread amongst the unvaccinated; it is amongst this population that variants of the virus – such as the Delta variant – have a greater chance of being created. However, Robbins is correct in insinuating that the vaccinated can still contract COVID and spread it to others; however, vaccinated individuals who do contract the virus – known as a “breakthrough case” –  are less likely be hospitalized or have serious symptoms than those who have not taken the jab.

Robbins also equated the mortality rates of the COVID-19 pandemic to those of automobile accidents in the United States, although the statistics he quoted to back up his assertions were questionable.

Being afraid of your neighbor is pretty stupid, because there’s risk in everything,” he said. “1,200 people die every day and you know what they die of, way more than COVID? Driving their car. That’s a fact.”

However, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics for U.S. car deaths per day (from 2016) averages out to 102 per day, as opposed to Robbins’ claim of 1,200. In contrast, the current seven-day average of deaths due to COVID-19 is just over 2,000 per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University; Texas and Florida combined currently account for about one-third of the nationwide average.

Florida Files Lawsuit Against Biden Administration Over “Illegal” Catch-and-Release Policies “Harming” People Of Florida

Today, Florida AG Ashley Moody said she joined Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis to send a strong message to President Biden
Today, Florida AG Ashley Moody said she joined Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis to send a strong message to President Biden: “We will not allow your brazen disregard for federal law to continue to jeopardize the safety of Floridians.”

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Attorney General of the state of Florida filed a lawsuit against both the Biden Administration and the United States itself this week, alleging that the White House’s southern border catch-and-release policies are “illegal” and are responsible for a surge of migrants into the country that are “harming” the people of Florida.

Florida AG Ashley Moody is claiming that the Biden Administration is abusing their authority and potentially violating federal immigration law, and that the lawsuit – which was filed in the Pensacola Division of the Northern District of Florida on Tuesday – reflects the efforts of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to uphold the rule of law.

“The Biden administration’s illegal border policies cause Florida harm,” the lawsuit reads. “Many of the aliens illegally released by the Biden administration are arriving, or will arrive in Florida, harming the state’s quasi-sovereign interests and forcing it to incur millions of dollars in expenses.”

Named as defendants in Moody’s lawsuit are the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and top officials from ICE, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

The lawsuit alleges that the Biden Administration is in violation of is U.S. code 1225, which states that when a non-U.S. citizen is either caught illegally entering the country, or if they attempt to do so at a legal port of entry – for example, if an individual is seeking asylum – they are to be detained until such time as it has been decided if they should be officially granted entry or not.

An exception to this law is the White House’s “parole authority,” which allows the release of a non-citizen into the country on a case-by-case basis and only for “urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.” The crux of Moody’s lawsuit is that the Biden Administration is either blatantly violating U.S. code 1225, or abusing their parole authority.

“The government is not free to ignore the clear commands of Congress. It has claimed that it lacks the resources and detention capacity to process the surge of migrants at the border” the lawsuit says. “Further, it is the Biden administration’s misguided policies that have encouraged more migrants to make the dangerous journey to the United States. The government cannot, therefore, use a purported lack of resources as an excuse to ignore congressional mandates.”

The crisis at the southern border has shown no signs of letting up; August saw over 200,000 migrants encountered by Border Patrol agents illegally crossing from Mexico into the United States, a number that has remained steady for the second month in a row.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A Michigan husband and wife – both fully vaccinated against COVID-19 – both nonetheless tragically died of the dreaded illness on Monday less than a minute apart from each other after being taken off of life support.

Cal Dunham, 59, and his wife Linda, 66, of Grand Rapids, each had pre-existing health conditions, but when both began to fall ill during a family camping trip earlier in September, they initially brushed it off as a mere cold, according to their daughter Sarah.

“[My father] called me before our family camping trip and said he wasn’t feeling good but he thinks it’s just like sinus, and [Linda] caught it and she’s like, ‘He gave me his cold,’” she said. “The third day they woke me up and said, ‘We’ve got to go because we don’t feel well.’ So I packed them all up and they left.”

After returning home, Cal and Linda began to feel worse and worse; they were taken to the hospital and were eventually put on ventilators; however, on Sunday doctors told their daughter Sarah that nothing else could be done, and that her parents would need to be removed from life support the next day.

On Monday, hospital officials wheeled Cal into Linda’s room, and while holding hands, the couple passed away after life support was shut off; Cal at 11:07 a.m., and Linda less than a minute afterwards.

“She always joked and said, ‘Well, you’re going to go before I am. I’ll be right there behind you. I promise.’ She really was, like she really was right there behind him,” Sarah said of her mother. “The love that they found together after a previous marriage is fantastic. They were the people that you just looked at and you were like, ‘I want to be old like that, I want that love when I’m that age.’”

Sarah said that her parents took the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and took every precaution – including getting vaccinated – but they both had underlying health issues that made them more vulnerable.

“I’m angry because so many people are like, ‘If I catch COVID, I catch COVID, that’s what it is.’ No, it’s not,” she said. “It could be any person…it could be anybody. They did everything right, they did everything to protocol the way it should be done.”
