San Antonio has a history of electing young, fresh faces to city council—think Henry Cisneros and Julián Castro. In June, voters picked a 26-year-old math teacher named Jalen McKee-Rodriguez to represent the city’s historically Black East Side, making him not only one of the youngest politicians ever elected in the city, but also San Antonio’s first openly gay city council member.
With backing from the Democratic Socialists of America and the Texas Organizing Project, he also represents what some see as an emerging progressive block in San Antonio politics. The Observer spoke with McKee-Rodriguez about his election, discrimination he faced as a former city staffer, gentrification in his district, and other issues facing the city’s East Side.
Texas Observer:You’ve called Barack Obama’s election and Trayvon Martin’s killing eye-opening and defining moments for you growing up. How did those events influence you?
When I was young, it was uncommon to see anyone who looked like me on TV or in politics and in major positions of power, even educators. I never had a teacher who looked like me. I was in eighth grade when Obama was elected, and I remember my mom crying. She was so excited that someone who looked like me, half-Black and half-white, could be president. The election was an early symbol of progress and hope for me.
Fast-forward a few years: When Trayvon Martin was killed, I saw how someone just like me—we were the same age could be villainized and made to look threatening even though he was just a young boy. It felt like a back-to-reality sort of moment, like society was saying, “Yes, we’ll elect a Black man to office, but if you’re a regular, everyday Black person, this is what we’ll do to you.”
You’re San Antonio’s first gay city council member and the first out Black man ever elected to public office in Texas. You’ve also been vocal about discrimination you faced working at city hall. What can be done to strengthen protections for LGBTQ people at the local level?
The chief of staff in the office where I worked was older, religious, and I would describe him as homophobic. He wasn’t comfortable with my hair or my clothes. He would say that my outfit wasn’t manly or that I wasn’t masculine enough.
If something like the discrimination and harassment that I faced can happen at city hall, then really who is our nondiscrimination ordinance protecting? I’ve been asking for an office of civil rights, with a legal team and a civil rights coordinator to investigate claims of discrimination within the city. Right now, San Antonio’s ordinance only applies to city employees. I believe I have the support in the community to expand the discrimination ordinance, but I think that other city council members are hesitant. And that’s a sad reality. Workers in Texas can still be fired for being gay. Educators in Texas can still be fired for being gay. Opposite-sex couples don’t get in trouble when they talk about their partners at work, but that still happens to same-sex couples in this state.
What have crises like the pandemic and winter freeze revealed about the needs in your district?
In the beginning of the pandemic, people thought there could be lockdowns and started stockpiling food and resources, but on the East Side, we already have a food desert. On the North Side, where it’s predominantly white and middle-class, they have abundant resources. Often we have to leave the district or leave our side of town to have access to things that other people have in their neighborhoods.
During one of my first city council meetings, we talked about the pain felt during the freeze. The pain was real for my colleagues and their constituents on the North Side, but when you have communities that are already marginalized, where houses aren’t winterized or don’t have insulation, the pain is real but the impact is definitely not the same.
In San Antonio, we use a lens of equity when we allocate city resources, specifically funding for infrastructure. I think we need to commit to that further and look into all departments, all city resources, all development plans that we’re promoting and incentivizing as a city and seriously ask ourselves: Is this promoting equity? We need policies that allow the East, West, and South sides to catch up to where everyone else is.
San Antonio has been a poster child for police union protections that shield rogue cops, yet a recent ballot measure to limit the union’s negotiating power failed. What can be done now to increase police accountability and oversight?
When you look at which sides of town supported that measure, the May election showed that communities like mine—the sides of town that are the most heavily policed—are also areas of town where people most want police reform and accountability. It’s frustrating because the city and police union are often fighting for reforms and solutions that are just Band-Aids. As we saw during this election, people who oppose reform will demonize it as defunding or abolishing police. When we want to allocate more money to domestic violence prevention or substance abuse counseling in order to get at root causes of crime, it’s turned into, “Oh, they’re trying to get rid of the police.” Sadly, I think we’ll see a lot of meaningless debate on that front.
San Antonio’s East Side has been a flashpoint for gentrification in recent years as the city tried to spur downtown development. How do you limit predatory development?
For the past several decades, city council members from all across San Antonio have been hand-picked by developers. Developers are really the major funding sources for campaigns here. There are usually dozens of developers contributing the max dollar amount, which can get someone through an entire campaign. That has made campaigns very lazy. They don’t reach out to the community. They don’t really solicit funds from other sources. It’s very much a pay-to-play situation. That’s led to luxury apartments being built next door to a house that should really only cost $70,000 or $80,000. Then more investors come in and flip the house for $400,000, or they get council to rezone the area even when the community doesn’t want it.
I’m committed to working with everyone—developers, community members, all stakeholders—but developers are never going to be the priority for me. A lot of development that I’m now being briefed on, projects that my predecessors approved or encouraged, it’s just dropping luxury apartments in the middle of a community with high poverty that desperately needs more affordable housing. It’s very clear that my community is not the population these projects seek to benefit. I want whatever development keeps the community intact and benefits the residents who are already there, not development designed to draw people in from out of town or out of state for the purposes of a wealthier tax base.

Leonard N. Moore thinks every white person in America should be required to take a Black history class. That’s how Moore, a professor of Black history at the University of Texas, opens his new book, Teaching Black History to White People. In this timely book from the University of Texas Press, Moore guides readers—many of whom Moore, who is Black, presumes will be white—through Black history and his own personal experience in academia. Moore is a popular professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where he teaches a course called “Race in the Age of Trump.” He has also addressed racial tensions campuswide in his role as the university’s Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement.
Moore offers six specific steps that white Americans (and other non-Black people) can take to improve America’s racial climate. Excerpted below are steps 4-6.
Check the Microaggressions
Microaggressions are similar to stereotypes; they are more subtle but equally painful. Recently, a colleague and I were in a meeting and the person we were waiting for walked in, looked at me, and said, “How you doing, Dr. Gordon?” I’ve been called Dr. Gordon, Dr. Harrison, and Dr. Smith. What do we all have in common? We are all Black men who are professors at the University of Texas at Austin. We look nothing alike. Do you know what it’s like to show up to an event and they give you the name badge of another Black person? Black people do not complain, because it doesn’t do any good, but we just need to share some of these stories.

A lot of people who claim to be liberal are some of the biggest offenders when it comes to microaggressions and micro-invalidations. Don’t assume that all the Black women on campus are there to run track or that the Black men are there to play football or basketball. I had a student who was five-foot-five and he was still stereotyped as a football player. Now, some of you may think, “Well, that’s not a bad stereotype,” but to the student it is. Because what is being suggested is that the only reason they are on campus is because of their athletic ability.
When I tell white people that I work at the University of Texas at Austin, many of them instinctively think that I work in athletics. After flying in to San Francisco a couple of years ago, my son and I went to the rental car counter. The Avis guy pulled up my information, saw that I worked at the University of Texas at Austin, and said, “Oh, what are you doing out here? Recruiting athletes?”
I said, “No.”
“What do you do at UT?”
I said, “Why don’t you guess?”
“Well, I don’t know. I thought you were out here recruiting.”
On several occasions I have arrived at events where I’m the keynote speaker, and typically I’ll introduce myself to the organizer just to let them know that I’m there. I’ll typically say, “I’m Leonard Moore from the University of Texas.” They introduce themselves, and on more than one occasion they will say, “Good to meet you. What time is Dr. Moore coming?” I will say, “I don’t know. Hopefully he will be here soon.” These are real experiences. If I deal with these things as a Black man, what do my Black female counterparts often deal with? At times, microaggressions can become outright hostile for Black women. A Black female colleague was confronted by a white male colleague who stood in her office doorway shortly after she was hired and said, “I don’t understand why they’re paying you that much money!”
The constant stereotyping and microaggressions confirm what many Black people were told by their parents and grandparents: “You gotta work twice as hard to go half as far.” To get ahead in the workplace, we embrace John Henry–ism. “I’m going to just work harder, and harder, and harder, then I’ll get the promotion.” I was in full-blown John Henry–ism during my years at LSU. A lot of Black professionals take on extra assignments and duties without receiving adequate compensation. We do that because we feel that we have to prove ourselves. But in doing that we work ourselves to death, and we still don’t get promoted to the level of our abilities.
Get Uncomfortable
I want to talk about the importance of getting uncomfortable. Your political affiliation doesn’t matter. (You may say you’re a liberal, but I know a lot of liberals who value trees and the environment more than people.) Some of us are narrowly trained in our area of expertise but we need specific training around racial injustice. We don’t like to go to training because it makes us feel uncomfortable. The first time I went to an anti-sexism training, I was uncomfortable because I didn’t realize how a lot of my unconscious actions contributed to sexism. Similarly, many white people don’t understand how some of their unconscious actions contribute to an unhealthy racial climate. Anybody can handle budgets or create a strategic plan, but can you navigate the tricky waters of race and racial justice? Discomfort is the fertilizer for growth. If the lived experiences of Black people make you upset, then you need to sit with the discomfort and ask yourself why.
Whenever I teach my Black Power class I always have white alumni sit in on the class. One semester an older white gentleman in his early seventies came to every class. On the last day of class I had him stand up and the students gave him a standing ovation. He said, “Dr. Moore, this has been the greatest experience of my life.” In my Race in the Age of Trump class I often have many white students who enroll in the class, but their parents are reluctant to let them take it. One student told me that at the end of every class she would have to take a picture of her notes, email them to her mom, and at night they would discuss the notes as well as the class readings. Apparently, the mom did this because she didn’t want her daughter taking my class and “becoming a liberal.” By the end of the semester the mom had transformed from a helicopter parent to a convert. She sent me an email and thanked me for changing her perspective.
A way to ease yourself into the discomfort and to learn more about American history, the civil rights movement, and race relations is to do a civil rights tour throughout the great state of Mississippi. You can start in Jackson, Mississippi, at the new civil rights museum, which I think is one of the best museums in the country, and then you can work your way up north through the Mississippi Delta, ending at Memphis, Tennessee. It will be worth your time and money.
“What Can I Help You Fight For?”
Many well-meaning white people are often curious about what they can do to help calm racial tensions. Instead of asking, “What can I do?” I recommend you ask a more profound question, “What can I help you fight for?”
About ten years ago, I took a group of students from my church to East Austin, which at the time was predominantly African American and low-income. Our intent was to canvas the neighborhood and ask residents what issues were important to them. Prior to the outing I asked the students what they thought the community needed. They talked about after-school programs, high-quality childcare, job training programs, a grocery store, more recreational opportunities, and a litany of social programs. They were wrong. The residents of the community wanted speed bumps. Yes, speed bumps. Why? Because a lot of kids in the neighborhood were getting hit by cars during rush hour as commuters used the side streets in East Austin to avoid traffic jams. This was a profound experience for my students, who learned that you must allow a community to tell you what their needs are instead of just assuming you know.
Around the country right now there’s a lot of energy on college campuses directed toward taking down Confederate statues and changing building names. But some of that stuff is so woven into the bricks and mortar of an institution that you may never be able to get rid of it all. While I think the typical Black student would agree that these symbolic gestures are important, I believe that they would see other issues as more of a priority. Many of them would like to see an increase in Black enrollment, more Black faculty and staff, and a significant increase in scholarship money for African American students. But many white liberals have co-opted Black activism on America’s college campuses to such an extent that the actual demands of Black students aren’t even heard. So we have white liberals expressing what they think is best for Black students without even consulting them.
A few years ago, I was asked to mediate a dispute between a Black law school professor and his disgruntled students, who were upset about a question on an exam. On the exam the professor asked the students to provide a legal defense of school segregation. I thought it was a brilliant question. Before I arrived at the meeting I predicted that the group of angry students were largely white liberals. I was correct. In the group of students I met with, only one was Black. The spokesperson for the group was a white male student who seemed rather happy that he was able to call out his Black professor. The students were up in arms. During our meeting they said the question was “traumatizing” and “triggering” and that they should not be forced to answer it. But it went further. They wanted the professor disciplined. They also demanded that the professor be banned from teaching first-year students and that a committee of faculty approve all of his exam questions moving forward. After listening to their complaints, I said, “This has y’all really upset, huh?” They said, “Yes.” Then I asked the following question that changed the entire trajectory of the conversation: “How come you all aren’t equally upset that this law school enrolled only ten Black students this year out of an entire class of three hundred?” The room fell silent. In defense of the law students, I believe they meant well. But they were misguided. They got caught up in symbolism and not substance. This is what happens when you assume you know what Black people really want. If you want to really be an ally, to do something radical, ask Black people a simple question: “What can I help you fight for?”
According to authorities, Shamoule J. Bridges, 28, of Apopka, was arrested early this morning in Orange County and is being held on charges out of Volusia and Lake County, where he’s the suspect in yet another burglary and theft case, also while wearing his court-ordered ankle monitor.
DELTONA, FL – A burglary suspect wearing an ankle monitor following his arrest for a past Seminole County burglary was tracked down and arrested after he committed another burglary in Deltona – stealing guns, ammunition, electronics, cash and the victim’s car while his ankle monitor tracked his location all along the way.
Shamoule J. Bridges, 28, of Apopka, was arrested early this morning in Orange County and is being held on charges out of Volusia and Lake County, where he’s the suspect in yet another burglary and theft case, also while wearing his court-ordered ankle monitor. His criminal history includes 41 prior felony charges with four convictions and nine misdemeanor charges with four convictions.
“Ankle monitors are nice, but obviously they won’t stop a prolific criminal from breaking into your home, stealing your guns and taking off in your car,” Sheriff Mike Chitwood said Thursday of Bridges’ arrest. “I hope the next judge who sees him thinks twice before setting him loose on all of us in Central Florida yet again.”
The Deltona burglary happened last Friday, September 17, on Kingsdale Drive, where the victim came home in the afternoon to find his garage door wide open and his Honda Accord missing. The victim found his door was broken in, saw drawers ajar throughout the house, and discovered 6 handguns missing along with six boxes of ammunition, two 55-inch televisions, other electronics and cash.
Using surveillance cameras and tag readers, detectives were able to track the stolen Accord to Orange and Polk counties. A second vehicle, a blue 2002 Toyota Corolla, was also seen leaving the residence after the burglary. Working with a Seminole County Sheriff’s Office crime analyst, detectives were able to establish Bridges as a possible suspect in that vehicle.
When Seminole’s crime analyst checked the GPS coordinates from Bridges’ ankle monitor, it placed him at the exact location of the burglary on that afternoon.
Detectives contacted the registered owner of the Corolla, a Deltona woman whose 17-year-old daughter who admitted she drove Bridges to a house in Deltona, where he went inside for about 20 minutes before coming out driving the victim’s car.
Detectives later recovered the victim’s photo scanner/printer from the 17-year-old’s home, where the mother told detectives her daughter gifted it to her, claiming she got it from a friend.
The victim’s Honda Accord was recovered in Apopka on Tuesday night when Orange County deputies tracked it down and arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Paul Perkins at the wheel. None of the guns, ammunition, TVs, cash or other electronics were recovered. A search warrant is pending on the Corolla to determine if any stolen items are in it.
In addition to his pending charges in other counties, Volusia detectives charged Bridges with armed burglary, six counts of grand theft of a firearm, grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bridges’ ankle monitor was a condition of his release in a pending 2018 burglary case in Seminole County. In addition to that case, Bridges was charged with carjacking in Orange County, where he was in jail until his release earlier this year.
Undeniably, America’s economy, once great under President Trump, is in trouble File photo: Trevor Bexon, Shutter Stock, licensed.
GREEN BAY, WI – It has begun. There is nothing that can stop the truth from coming out. Critical mass has been reached. And the ending will not be for everyone.
Now, let’s peel back the layers of the onion that have recently taken place in this worldwide war of Almighty God versus Satan… beginning with the disaster after disaster that has been the entire several months of Joe Biden’s faux Presidency.
France, this Country’s oldest ally, is furious with us. The stock market is sliding. Biden has left Afghanistan in one large, ruinous heap—with many Americans and innocent Afghans left behind in terror, fighting for their very survival. Not to mention Britain’s holding Biden in contempt for his actions in Afghanistan.
North Korea has now shot off a missile, after years of abiding by Trump’s agreement with them. China is spouting off in the South China Sea, once again claiming hegemony in that territory—and as always taking every opportunity to try to ridicule America and make it look foolish. Not that this administration isn’t doing a good job of kicking itself in the pants at every opportunity. Which also brings to mind the fact that Iran is now on the cusp of going nuclear, thanks to the mega dollars pumped into their terrorist government by the weak and ineffectual Biden administration.
Back at home, the border crisis reached a boiling point months ago, whilst Biden and Harris vacillate between taking vacations and trying to divert the people’s attention from all of the mayhem that abounds. Even the Democratic media is criticizing Biden on a daily basis—although they still endeavor to try to find any good slant on what has become a train wreck in terms of his mismanagement.
We also see that many food distributors are having trouble keeping shelves stocked, so the cost of food will result in a price shock to all of us very soon. The culprit behind this debacle? Biden’s catastrophic stimulus checks and universal basic income, both of which have unleashed havoc on the U. S. job market and led to historic labor shortages.
Undeniably, America’s economy, once great under President Trump, is in trouble. Meantime, the Democrats are doing what they always do, which is trying to push a tax bill that will make everyone’s taxes increase even more. Never underestimate their ability to make a crisis much/much worse, and in record timing at that!
Meantime, Pelosi is trying to blame capitalism for the current economic woes. But we all know that the problem is not capitalism at all. Rather, it is the corrupt Central Banking System. And the Democrats, who are being run by the worldwide elite Global Cabal/Deep State, do not want the people to see what is coming.
The Central Bank administrators are trying to keep the economic system together—but it is quickly falling apart. They, along with Joe Biden—whose puppet strings are no doubt being pulled by Obama, who also answers to the Deep State—want the Fed Note destroyed so that they can move the people of the world into their new E-SDR/digital currency, which the International Monetary Fund will control. This is yet another situation that Trump warned us about.
Small businesses will be hit hard, but this is all just a part of the Global Cabal’s ‘Great Reset Plan.’ We also see that inflation is coming, and that the Central Bank and Democrats are now panicking as a result, since they know that if the debt ceiling is not raised, the economy will get even worse. We have indeed borrowed ourselves into oblivion, and one of our key note-holders is of course China, our arch enemy. Hence, the bowing that we’ve seen toward this Communist country by America’s major corporations, academia, and news outlets.
Yes, the Federal Reserve is now trapped, as no matter which way they turn, it will end in a disaster. The government will not be able to pay for the debt, including the entitlement programs, etc. The only way forward is a ‘people’s currency, controlled by We the People’—and the scuttle is that Trump and his Military have been working on just that, in the form of something called a ‘Quantum Financial System.’
The fact of the matter, plain and simple, is that we are in a full blown information war, with the patriots on the offensive and the Global Cabal/Deep State on the defensive. The media in this country, along with many in politics and major corporations and academia, have hijacked the news message that is put out there for all to see. This happened decades ago, but has gotten progressively worse in the past decade.
Right now, however, front and center as the main event, is the election fraud. Keep your eyes on that, no matter what distractions the Deep State throws out there. As we get closer and closer to the forensic audit results in Arizona being released, we will see more draconian measures to keep the news cycle clogged—as those in the corrupt media talk about anything and everything apart from these results.
The Arizona forensic audit is scheduled to be released on September 24th, and the Deep State is going into panic mode. Some believe that they will even try to push riots and perhaps a communication blackout to stop this information from being exposed. The Patriots, however, know their playbook, and anything of this sort will be immediately cleaned up.
Now, the Deep State also is shutting down communication on the major social media platforms. We see the deep censorship, aimed at any comments voiced by conservatives who go against the far left’s dark agenda. This is because the black hats know the truth, and will do anything to stop it from being revealed. Nevertheless, those who are following both the Arizona forensic audit and those taking place in other states believe that the results will show massive fraud—at which point the elections involved will be decertified. It’s only a matter of time.
Remember that the object is to remove certified votes from the 270 electoral votes for Biden, as there is alleged to have been substantial fraud, even on the ballot down-ticket items.
Another situation to pay attention to is how the black hats are trying desperately to make Trump look unhinged—as we saw with their recent pushing of a narrative involving Trump’s supposed unstable attitude with regard to China when he was in office.
Nothing could be further from the truth, as Trump reversed course on this country’s past philosophy on wars—even getting the crazed Kim Jong Un to back down, much to everyone’s surprise and delight. Nevertheless, the Deep State is building the narrative that Trump was close to using nuclear weapons. No doubt, there is a reason for this. Perhaps they fear a Trump return, should the election fraud be proven—and then the rightful President being seated?
Meantime, the Great Reset and Green New Deal being pushed by the nasties are not going well. We saw that Biden recently held a climate forum, and many of the residents around the world did not even bother to attend. There is absolutely zero respect for Biden and whomever is running the show behind the scenes.
On another very interesting and developing front, John Durham has now released the first indictment in his investigation. And those who understand ‘legalize’ are saying that Durham’s strategy appears to be quite set in getting to the very bottom of the black hats’ plan several years ago to remove Trump from office by any means necessary.
Indeed, Durham is not plucking off a few of the higher ups, and calling it a day. The direction that he is taking seems quite evident and quite lethal. Durham is starting at the bottom, with the low hanging fruit. The lawyer indicted by Durham, along with the lawyer’s firm, was involved in Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Durham appears to be tying this man to a massive effort by Clinton to dig up false dirt on Trump to discredit him, which will no doubt lead to the evil strategy behind the Mueller investigation and other fabricated efforts toward Trump’s removal as President.
At this point, the Deep State has become the hunted, and Durham is on the prowl. Naturally, the soulless media are anxiously in the process of trying to spin the story that Durham did not find anything of importance—that this will lead to a big ‘nothingburger.’ But that will not work this time. Durham has a reputation as a bulldog, and that moniker is well earned, according to those who know him well.
Trump Aide Dan Scavino recently sent a message indicating that the Military are on their way to help. Actually, Scavino has been sending message after message, warning the people to buckle up, saying that it is going to be a bumpy ride.
Scavino also has been putting out very inspirational Telegram missives on Trump’s supposed return to office soon. One of the messages read “Better start believing that President Trump is coming back. Those who don’t believe, don’t understand what road he is taking to bring America back to the people!” And yet another memo read “Things may seem crazy right now, but that is only because the truth is coming out and the people are waking up. They are cracking down on us only because they know their time is short.” This latter message was alongside a very serious-looking photo of President Trump.
Nevertheless, the elite Cabal continues to wage its desperate attempts at throwing false flags onto the scene, trying to divert attention. Consider their pathetic and failed protest event recently staged in Washington, D. C. Nobody showed up. In truth, there were more reporters, FBI agents, and police there than there were conservatives!
Truly, it does look like the globalist elites have completely lost touch with reality. And their policies only make matters worse. As mentioned earlier, our economy is not at all what it was under Trump. Moreover, their Covid narrative, which is being used to gain more and more control over We the People, is failing.
Additionally, the federal agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and Department of Justice all have been exposed for corruption. Yes, there are good players in these organizations, but many of those who run the agencies have sold their souls to China and the worldwide Cabal.
The media is scrambling, as well, as no one holds them in any type of esteem anymore. They have cried ‘Wolf!’ too many times, and thus have been shown to be a group of pathetic windbags.
Indeed, so much filth and evil has been exposed by Trump stepping aside in January. It had to be done this way, to wake up the people of this country. But at this point in time, it now it appears that many have seen just how deeply the powerful Global Cabal has taken over America—and the entire world. A tipping point has perhaps been reached.
Make no mistake about it: the Military is the only way forward. Those close to Trump who have some of the inside scoop—such as Attorney Lin Wood, Attorney Sidney Powell, General Michael Flynn, and Lt. General Tom McInerney—all mirror what President Trump has said from the beginning. And that is that the white hats caught them all, and have it all on tape. A trap was set, and the Deep State fell right into it.
At some point, the ‘Trump card’ will be played. Consider some of Trump’s inspirational Telegram messages of late, such as “LOVE THAT CALM BEFORE THE STORM!!!” And then there was a picture of Trump playing the game ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ with the puzzle on the board reading ‘ST__LL Y__R PR_S_D_NT.’ Doesn’t get any better than that!
And his wonderful wife, ever loyal and at his side in this fight on good versus evil, posted the following exciting message on Telegram: “Patriots, it’s about time! The clock is ticking and President Trump is ready to return.” This was alongside a photo of President Trump checking his watch….
We also saw a very encouraging dispatch from General Flynn on Telegram: “The White Hats are doing everything in their God given power to take down a 1,000 years of human abuse and decades of financial abuse. It’s not an easy task. AND they are doing everything to prevent a ‘next time.’ Thank you White Hats and Military for your courageous, valiant efforts. We may never get to see your face or shake your hand, yet you are saving our children and Humanity.”
General Flynn also posted: “Things aren’t always clear, but you need to TRUST THE PLAN!” This was in conjunction with a photo of our magnificent President Trump. This mighty and well-revered general would not be posting things that are not true. We need to stay steady, confident in these God-fearing Patriots—but mostly in God, whose justice will come at some point, as it always does. And in His timing!
We who remain on earth until the imminent Rapture of all Believers in Christ—Believers that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again—remain steadfast in the knowledge that good will overcome evil in the end.
Right now, however, there is a covert war going on between the Deep State globalists and our own American Military—the latter of which is comprised, according to reliable sources, of about 800 generals, commanders, and other military and patriotic personnel who have sworn allegiance to the United States Constitution, to making sure that the rightful President is in place.
This covert war is about to spill over into the streets for all to see. The Global Cabal/Deep State thought that they had it all—including the United States of America all rolled up in one. But the Patriots have God on their side. And the final result will be God’s choice…make no mistake about it! Will He forestall the inevitable one-world government, economy, and religion that was foretold in Scripture? Only Almighty God has the answer to that.
Which brings us to the question on what we Believers are to do with all of this information. The world has descended into lawlessness and chaos, almost overnight. But we who follow the Bible knew that this would happen. And we also knew from prophecy that the evildoers would try frantically to get Believers in Christ to conform to the things of the world, to their sinful philosophies and behaviors.
Jude 17-21 provides the answer on how we are to address this difficult situation. We are to remember the words of the apostles of Jesus, in terms of how they told us that there would be mockers in the latter days who would walk via their ungodly lusts. These verses in Jude also tell us that these mockers will cause division, as they don’t have ‘the Spirit.’ And these verses also say that we are to maintain our life with God, build ourselves up in faith, and pray in the Holy Spirit—and we are to keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for Christ’s mercy unto eternal life.
Jude 22-23 follows up on the preceding verses, telling us how to follow the directives in those verses. We are to have compassion on some of the mockers, thus making a distinction—but then to save others with fear. This means being wise, and observing who we are talking to—and it means that on some, we will have compassion, but on others, we need to figuratively ‘hit them alongside the head with a two-by-four.’
Not physically, of course, but mentally and emotionally, trying to wake them up. We must tell them that they had better get their act together, as there is a Hell—and it lasts for a very long/long time.
And that is how we are to handle these wicked and immoral followers, either wittingly or unwittingly, of Satan. We see power, fear, and money on the one hand—and on the other side faith, hope, and love. We Believers are caught in the middle of that, while we remain here on earth for but a short while. But we will not focus upon this evil world, and will not bend or break to pieces as a result.
Colossians 3:1 tells us that if we are born again, we are to seek those things that are above, where our Lord is. And that is where our eager focus lies. We are to be looking for the Rapture of the Church, the blessed hope. We are not to cling to or grasp this world, not to focus upon catering to it.
We are to center our attention upon the New Jerusalem to come. And with all that has transpired, all that now points to the fact that we are in the ‘last of the last days,’ we are eager to follow this directive.
Truly, if we but lean our gaze and our ear toward the east, toward Jerusalem, we can almost hear the clarion call of our sweet Lord from afar…as we picture that glorious Rapture that is on the horizon…that lifting-up of our family and our fellow Saints into the clouds…ever to be with our Eternal King, face to face at last. Come, Lord Jesus!!
