‘Hawkeye’: First Episode Features A Hilarious Continuity Error

The first episode of Hawkeye features a hilarious continuity error that you won’t believe you missed.

Marvel Studios may be the biggest live-action producer in the world but that doesn’t mean the company isn’t prone to mistakes. Just ahead of Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s release, fans found a major goof in Spider-Manhttps://heroichollywood.com/spider-man-homecoming-mistake-internet-storm/: Homecoming that was hidden in plain sight. It turns out that there are some goofs and errors in Marvel’s latest as well.

‘Hawkeye’ Teases Maya Lopez’s Uncle Is A Deadly Marvel Villain

Hawkeye opened its first episode with a flashback to Kate Bishop’s childhood. The year? 2012, when the Avengers fought in the battle of New York. Despicable Me hit cinemas in 2010, which means that Bishop was probably a huge fan of it. In fact, she was such a huge fan of it that she has an activity book from the franchise tucked in her room. Except, the activity book in question didn’t arrive until 2021. ComicBook.com was the first to discover the goof.

If you go on Amazon, you can see that the activity book became available for purchase in 2021. The activity book is also for Minions: The Rise of Gru, a film not slated to hit cinemas until next year. Kate Bishop is either a time traveler.

‘Spider-Man’ Producer Amy Pascal On Potential Venom Crossover & Miles Morales

Here is the synopsis for Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye:

Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, Brian d’Arcy James, Aleks Paunovic, Piotr Adamczyk, Linda Cardellini, Simon Callow, Vera Farmiga and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.

New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Posters Include Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange

Marvel Studios’ latest posters for Spider-Man: No Way Home feature Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and the mirror dimension.

Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home are finally available. In celebration of the event, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have released three new posters from Tom Holland’s latest Spidey adventure, as well as a cheeky promotional video. We’ve known for a while that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is set to be a main player in No Way Home, but the latest posters solidify his presence in the Spidey threequel.

Doctor Strange is seen alongside Spider-Man in two new posters. The first poster sees Spider-Man in the Iron-Spider suit hanging from a web with Benedict Cumberbatch’s good doctor levitating alongside him. The Green Goblin looms in the background as Doctor Octopus’s tentacles and Electro’s lightning strike the Avengers duo. Behind them, the mirror dimension is seen folding into itself.

The second poster features the exact same make-up but Spider-Man is rocking a traditional suit as opposed to the Iron-Spider one. The final poster is an exclusive IMAX one-sheet. In the poster, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is by himself, swinging through the trippy mirror dimension.

Sam Mendes’ Newest – EMPIRE OF LIGHT

Sam Mendes is one of those directors that doesn’t make a lot of movies, but when he does make one, it’s usually pretty good. Quality over quantity. American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Skyfall, 1917 to name a few. He has only made 8 feature films in the space of 22 years.

His first big movie, American Beauty, earned him an Academy Award for Best Director, and the movie won Best Picture. In total, his movies have racked up a combination of 12 Oscars and 31 nominations. Not to mention that he directed two of the highest-grossing James Bond movies ever.

His newest movie, Empire of Light, is now spinning up and cast announcements have been made. So far the cast includes Olivia Colman, Colin Firth, Toby Jones, Michael Ward, Crystal Clarke, and Tanya Moodie.

Personally, I love Toby Jones. He’s been in huge movies, like Captain America: The First Avenger, but is also happy to star in smaller British TV roles like the Detectorists. If you have missed that, it’s worth checking out. It’s a very sweet comedy from the UK written and directed by Mackenzie Crook (The Office, Pirates Of The Caribbean).

The plot of Empire of Light is still very much under wraps, but is…

Described as a love story set in and around a beautiful old cinema on the South Coast of England in the 1980s.

Maybe something like Cinema Paradiso? You can read a Retro Review of that movie here.

Mendes has written the screenplay alone, which is a first for him. He did write 1917, but that was alongside Kysty Wilson-Cairns. He will be working with Roger Deakins again, the cinematographer known for 1917, Blade Runner 2049, Sicario, Skyfall, True Grit (2010), No Country For Old Men, and The Shawshank Redemption, to name just a few of his 88 movies.

There is no news on when Empire of Light will be out, but it’s thought to be around the autumn (or fall, for our US readers) of 2022.
